How do I set up Bright Silver Metallic or Clear Roll Labels with white ink?

White ink can be used as a base layer to create opaque areas on Clear labels or to block metallic shine on Bright Silver Metallic labels.

White ink setup requires a separate White Mask file:

  • Black (100% K) = white ink prints
  • White = no white ink
  • Mask must match artwork size exactly
  • Vector format only (EPS or PDF)

White ink behavior:

  • Color + White Mask → solid, opaque color
  • Color without mask → transparent (Clear) or metallic (Silver)
  • Mask only → printed white
  • No mask, no color → stock shows through
