How do Pantone colors affect printing results?

Pantone colors can influence print output in several ways:

1️⃣ Pantone colors + effects

Object effects like glows or shadows can create transparency issues when placed over Pantone colors. Convert Pantone values to CMYK before exporting to avoid unexpected results.

2️⃣ Pantone colors + transparent images

Placing transparent artwork over Pantone backgrounds can remove transparency and leave visible white shapes after printing. Converting Pantone areas to CMYK prevents this.

3️⃣ Pantone to CMYK color shift

If a job is printed in CMYK, Pantone colors will be converted automatically. These conversions rarely match the original Pantone shade exactly. Always convert Pantone colors yourself before submitting artwork to ensure color accuracy.
