Why do folded or scored prints sometimes crack?

When UV-coated prints are scored and folded, cracking along the fold line may occur. Over time and with repeated handling, these cracks can become more noticeable.

Choosing a non-UV finish can help minimize cracking, but cannot eliminate it entirely. Any coated piece that’s folded will naturally show wear over time.
