What is banding in print?

Banding refers to visible streaks or lines that appear in areas with gradients or smooth color transitions. It may be caused by software settings, export methods, or gradients compressed into too small a space — such as shifting from light to dark over a narrow area.

Before submitting artwork, review your files for banding, and ensure gradients have enough room to transition smoothly.
