What is rich black, and how do I achieve it?

Rich black is a deeper, more saturated black produced by combining solid black ink (100% K) with CMY values. Using only 100% black may print slightly dull or grayish.

For a strong, dark result, Print Cartel recommends:

C:60 M:40 Y:40 K:100

Some specialty products, such as dye-sublimated textiles and fabric displays, may require a full-coverage mix of:

C:100 M:100 Y:100 K:100
