Password Protected File Detected
Our system detected that the PDF you uploaded is encrypted, password-protected, or has security restrictions enabled.
Why This Matters for Printing To prepare your file for the printing press, our automated software needs full access to open, read, flatten, and process the document. If your file is locked with a password or has printing/editing restrictions enabled, our system is completely blocked from doing its job, and the order will stall.
How to Fix This Issue You need to remove the security restrictions from your file:
- Re-export Without Security: Go back to your original design software (Word, InDesign, Illustrator, Canva, etc.). Go through the normal PDF export process, but ensure that any checkboxes regarding "Passwords," "Security," or "Permissions" are left unchecked.
- Unlock in Acrobat: If you are using Adobe Acrobat, open the file, enter the password, go to File > Properties > Security, and change the Security Method to "No Security." Save the file and upload this new version.
Need more help? Sometimes company-issued software automatically encrypts PDFs. If you cannot turn it off, contact your IT department or reach out to our support team for a workaround!
